“Hotel Neuf” is the second album by Red Largo, released on 20 March 2026 on Madame Vega’s Boudoir. It is available on vinyl LP and download from Bandcamp, download from Subvert, and on the streaming platforms. LPs are also available from HHV and Bis Aufs Messer in Berlin.

Across eight tracks, the new album “Hotel Neuf” showcases a broader palette of sounds, moods and atmospheres than its predecessor “Transmitting”, including Sonja Kessner playing a bigger musical part, often using her voice as an instrument. There are more composed parts and song-like structures, but improvisation – both in development of the pieces and while recording them – still remains a vital ingredient in the band’s music. Matti Bye – award-winning composer of film music, who also appears as a guest on the new album – wrote of Red Largo’s music: “Some music can evoke moods and images without being film music — it’s a kind of balance that borders on the mystical. I love this music.”
The basic tracks were recorded by Ingo Krauss with the band playing in a room together at Candy Bomber Studio in Berlin. Band members Fredrik Kinbom and Sonja Kessner then embellished the recordings with various overdubs.
